Transwest Helicopters R/O shop specializes in the repair and overhaul of the Honeywell/ Lycoming T5508D engine utilized in the Bell 214B.
In addition, Transwest Helicopters has as an exclusive licence agreement with Honeywell for manufacturing all T5508D specific parts and hardware, as well as Transport Canada approved for the Honeywell/ Lycoming T53 series engines.
Our Services Include:
- Dedicated, highly trained technicians, with combined overhaul experience of over 30 years.
- Full dynamic and static balancing of all associated rotating engine components.
- Cleaning department including; media blasting, chemical cleaning and solvent washing.
- In house rework capabilities including;welding, NDT inspections, application of all specialized coatings and surface treatments.
- On site engine test facility capable of full functional and performance inspections.( Test facility is fully calibrated and O.E.M correlated).
- Transwest offers a T5508D rental engine, dedicated specifically for customer use.
- Also available individual accessory rental units and accessory exchange program.
- Full technical assistance including customer world wide on site consultation.
