Profile
The company was originally founded in 1958 and developed from a 1 machine Bell 47G operation to where we stand today, operating a fleet of 3 Bell 214B helicopters and servicing helilogging, firefighting and heavy lift operations, not just within BC, but throughout Canada and also internationally.
We also operate a full-service, Bell authorised engineering department (engines, components, structures, aircraft welding and parts sales) for both internal and third party repairs and maintenance on Bell 214B’s, 212 and 412 helicopters. We hold a Lycoming T5508D Turbine (Honeywell) manufacturing license and are TCCA approved for the Lycoming T53 engine. We also operate a modern test cell facility for the above engines.
Transwest Helicopters Ltd is continually looking for new product innovations and new markets, and actively promotes internal research and development.
The company is currently owned and operated by Ernst-Ulrich and Alison Maas.
